HOW CAN I GET STARTED?
At Wildcatz Indoor Sports, Rebound Beach Volleyball is one of our most popular social sports! We have our competitions across 3 different nights (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) with games starting from 5:30pm and the last round commencing at 8:45pm. Much like our rounder’s competition, volleyball is just about having some fun and if you happen to win it’s a bonus! To get involved you can either nominate your own team for us to put into the draw or as an individual and we can try to find a suitable team for you!
Game Play
- 2 x 20 minute halves
- Minimum 1 female per team
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST AND WHEN CAN I PLAY?
Rules
- After a point is won whilst the opposing team is serving, the now serving team most rotate clockwise to ensure a new server.
- When serving the ball, you must be located within 1.5 metres from the back-right corner of the court. The serve may be overarm or underarm. When serving, the ball is not permitted to hit any of the exterior nets.
- When returning serve, the ball must be touched by at least two players before it is returned.
- When returning the ball, a maximum of 3 touches can occur. A player may not touch the ball twice without another playing touching it in between.
- At no stage can a player touch the dividing net as it will be called a ‘Net Touch’ and a point awarded to the opposition.
- A player is not permitted to touch the netting; however, they may use the netting to throw the ball into when passing to another player or shooting.
- The Umpire has full control of the game and each decision is final. Please respect each call as officials do their roles for the love of the game.
- We ask that teams have matching uniforms by their third game. A uniform can be as simple as each player wearing a plain black shirt.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Uniforms – Our main focus at Wildcatz Indoor Sports is to make all the sports we offer as fun and social as possible. However we require teams to have a team uniform by the commencement of their fourth game. This uniform must meet our policy of requirements. If your team doesn’t have a team shirt then uniform penalties can apply.
